Product Overview

Chain link fence because it’s hole is diamond,also known as cyclone fence or hurricane fence,is a type of woven fence usually made of galvanized or PVC coated steel wire. The latter one can have custom colors and the most popular one is dark green.

The chain link wire mesh is formed by twisting wire raw material together. There are also two kinds of edges which are folded edge and twisted edge.It offers a cost-effective solution for residential and commercial applications. Typically, the shorter heights are commonly selected for residential uses while the taller heights are most often for commercial uses to provide more security.

It’s expertly designed to withstand everything from adverse weather and humidity, to harsh chemical sprays, pesticides and insecticides. Besides, it is a great option for road, railway, airport fencing, equipment and facilities protection, pet and small animal raising as well as zoo fencing.

Technical Specification

We offer galvanized chain link fencing in two main forms: galvanized before weaving (GBW) and galvanized after weaving (GAW). These options come in various wire diameters, edge types, and openings. We also provide PVC or vinyl coating for added corrosion resistance.

Standard Diamond (Pitch) Sizes (mm)

The pitch is measured diagonally across the diamond and is only a nominal measurement. According to AS2423 there is an allowable tolerance of +/- 4mm in the pitch size.

60mm pitch: has the least amount of wire per m2 out of the 6 no. available diamond pitch sizes and is normally used for budget fencing applications, such as temporary fencing.
50mm pitch: is the standard pitch size for chain-link fabric and is used in most applications.
45mm pitch: is used for Tennis Courts as the aperture is small enough so the ball won’t get stuck in the chain-link fabric.
40mm pitch: is used in heavier duty applications such as at the rear of cricket practice nets and ball screen fences.
32mm pitch: is used primarily in golfing applications as the aperture is small enough so the golf ball won’t pass through the chain-link fabric.
25mm pitch: is used primarily for window screens.

Chain-Link Fabric Selveage Finishes

Selvage describes the finish of the ends. Knuckle means the ends of the wire are folded over. Twist means the wire is twisted together.

Light Duty to Extra Heavy Duty

Chain-link fabric is available in various thicknesses to cater to different needs. For instance, Light Duty 2.50mm wire is suitable for temporary or light-duty applications.

On the other hand, Heavy-Duty 3.15mm wire is highly recommended for more robust purposes like security, industrial use, fencing around schools, and sports facilities. It offers substantial load-bearing capacity, increased impact resistance, and a longer lifespan compared to the Light Duty option.

For even more demanding situations, there’s the Extra Heavy Duty variant, manufactured from 4.00mm diameter wire. This is reserved for high-security and heavy industrial applications, although it comes exclusively with a 50mm pitch diamond.
