Galfan Woven Gabions: Galfan gabions contain a 5% aluminum-zinc alloy material. In corrosive environments, they form an oxidation film on the surface to resist corrosion and rust.
10% Aluminum-Zinc Woven Gabions: These gabions have a higher aluminum content than Galfan gabions, offering even better corrosion resistance. They are suitable for highly corrosive environments, though they tend to be more expensive than galvanized gabions.

Triple Twisted Structure: In some projects, especially those subjected to harsh conditions like flood control, coastal protection, and channel lining, the strength requirements may be higher. In such cases, triple twisted gabions are chosen. The triple twisted structure involves twisting each wire strand three times, creating a denser and stronger mesh. These gabions are designed to withstand the high impact from forces like floods and seawater.

Hexagonal mesh gabion box is mainly used for protecting river and dam from the losing of soil and water. Because compared with welded gabion box, there are no welding point on hexagonal mesh gabion box, which can resist the erosion from flood and sea water. Additional, the twisted structure can supply higher tensile strength to be used in the heavy duty applications.
Sometimes, to enhance gabion durability, branches with deep roots are placed between the rocks in the gabion.
